Florida Healthcare Open Enrollment

Photo: CIP Americas September 26th marked three years since the search began for the 43 students disappeared in Iguala, Guerrero.

This year’s Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace is open until December 15, 2019. If you are uninsured or underinsured, Hispanic Unity of Florida (HUF) and its partners can help you compare plan options, shop for an affordable plan, and enroll to ensure you’re covered in 2020.

Free, in-person bilingual (English / Spanish) enrollment assistance is available. If you need a helping hand in comparing and selecting plans, be sure to attend our Get Covered NOW: on Saturday, December 14, 2019, 9am – 1pm, at the Miami Dade College, North Campus, 11380 NW 27th Avenue, Bldg. 2000, Rm 2260, Miami, FL 33167.

Health coverage provides you with financial security and peace of mind for you and your family, in case the unexpected happens. During Open Enrollment remember:

— Open enrollment is now through December 15, 2019. In order to have coverage that begins January 1, you must enroll by December 15.

— Financial assistance is available. Marketplace clients may qualify for a discount based on their income.

— Plans are even more affordable than last year and more insurers have entered the marketplace, giving eligible members ample options.

This event is made possible by Epilepsy Florida and Hispanic Unity of Florida, and the support of UnidosUS and Covering Florida.

Hispanic Unity of Florida (HUF) is a non-profit founded 37 years ago by community leaders to ease the acculturation transition for newcomers from other nations.
