Retired Rear Admiral Eileen Laubacher Puts Congresswoman Boebert on the Defense During Debate

Posted October 15, 2026

Retired Rear Admiral Eileen Laubacher drew a sharp contrast between her 34 years of military service and Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s time in Washington, DC, making clear that Coloradans deserve a representative who puts their interests ahead of political rhetoric and partisan games.

Laubacher debated Boebert during a congressional debate hosted by 9News on Oct. 12, 2026.

Eileen blasted Boebert for voting to continue the war in Iran five times:

“Congresswoman Boebert, of the two of us I believe only one of us has been to war. If you believe no war is worth it, then you should be voting against this war. And believe you me, no one knows more than I, the cost of war. I have lost friends, many friends to wars. No part of me is ok with me when negotiations are on the table.”

Eileen laid out the choice that Coloradans will make this fall: “This November, Coloradans have a choice. We can continue with a representative who votes again and again to raise costs on Coloradans – 8 times for the tariffs that are costing Colorado families $4,200 out of their pockets, and 5 times for the Iran War that has sent gas and diesel prices skyrocketing – or we can fight for Coloradans instead. As a veteran, I have dedicated my life to service, and I’m ready to continue that commitment. I will fight to lower costs, support hardworking families, strengthen our agricultural industry, and build a Colorado that works for the many, not just the wealthy few.”
