The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) will celebrate all children at Día del Niño (Children’s Day) on Saturday, April 25, 11am-2pm in Boulder. This annual event presents free, multicultural festivities for the whole family. Held outside in Boulder’s Civic Area Bandshell (Glen Huntington Bandshell, 13th and Canyon Blvd. Boulder, CO 80302), Día del Niño is a joyful and colorful event with traditional dance performances, live music, and hands-on art making.

Historically, Día del Niño is the day when children are honored in México. BMoCA has collaborated with the Mexican Cultural Center to present Día del Niño to growing audiences since 2011. The event is scheduled concurrently with the Boulder County Farmers Market.

The Mexican Cultural Center is proud to partner with BMoCA to celebrate Día del Niño, an event that centers culture, creativity, and family in a truly welcoming and inclusive way. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to uplifting Latino culture and creating joyful, accessible experiences for children and families in our community.

Between 11:00am – 2:00pm, join BMoCA for performances by Ballet Folklórico de la Diversidad Cultural, Colorado Youth Mariachi Group, Mi Chantli and more. More info here.

2026 Community partners include Mexican Cultural Center, Colorado Statewide Parent Coalition, PLAY Boulder Foundation, El Centro Amistad, City of Boulder Youth and Family Services, City of Boulder Parks and Rec, the Museum of Boulder, the Bueno Center, SCFD (Scientific & Cultural Facilities District), Queer Endeavor, I Have a Dream Foundation and Harvest of All First Nations.
