The Behavioral Health Administration (BHA) is reminding people in Colorado, health care providers, and educational institutions that the 988 Colorado Mental Health Line (988 Colorado) is now the state’s unified access point for immediate crisis support. As part of a multi-year consolidation effort, the Colorado Crisis Services (CCS) line is now being fully phased out and merged with 988 Colorado into a single, cohesive network beginning June 5, 2026. Key Transition Dates and Actions

  • June 5, 2026: The Colorado Crisis Services website will automatically redirect all traffic to 988Colorado.com.
  • Hotline Phase Out: While calls to the old Colorado Crisis Services Line at 1-844-493-8255 will continue to be routed to 988 during the phase out, the legacy line will be monitored for utilization prior to being discontinued to ensure our community’s needs and care are accessible. The public is encouraged to update their contacts to 988 prior to its full phase out.
