With Tie-Ins to BMOCA Art Exhibition
Posted July 9, 2026
The band Los Lo Los is proud to announce a new single, a schedule of local gigs and an integration with a Boulder visual art exhibition featuring band founder Cipriano Ortega.
In their new single, “Casino Cove,” Los Lo Los embodies their “low rock blues” sound with minimal instrumentation, combining blues, jazz and rock. The trio consists of Cipriano on vocals and two-string slide bass, Bret Batterman on drums and Garrett Pavlicek playing baritone saxophone. The new song can be heard now on all streaming platforms, at loslolos.com and at upcoming live shows as listed below.

The museum gigs are a tie-in to Cipriano’s part in the “Tres Voces, Un Corazón” art exhibition on view through September 12 at BMOCA, where his work is featured alongside his accomplished artist parents, Sylvia Montero and Tony Ortega.
As a visual artist, poet, actor and playwright, Cipriano works to integrate his disciplines where possible. His on-site installation is a 3-D representation of the house he stayed in during his summer 2024 “Breck Creates” music residency in Breckenridge. The music created in and inspired by that location resulted in the “Lo Lo House” LP released in 2025, featuring his current bandmates. Cipriano calls the residency experience “life-changing,” and explains, “I wanted to make an installation that evokes isolation, music and poetry.”
Visitors who step inside the Lo Lo House installation will be treated to a peek into Cipriano’s creative mind—read his poetry, play the Diddly Bow (a traditional, single-stringed American instrument) he made, and immerse themselves in the music of the “Lo Lo House” album. They will also have opportunities to experience live performances of Los Lo Los at BMOCA on two dates as listed. The concerts are part of a series of programming in conjunction with the show that allows visitors to further engage with the exhibition and artists.
