Indivisible Colorado Endorses Phil Weiser for Governor

On March 10, Colorado Attorney General and candidate for governor Phil Weiser announced that he has been endorsed by Indivisible Colorado, a statewide grassroots coalition organizing to resist right-wing efforts to undermine democracy. The endorsement comes after Indivisible Colorado’s thousands of members voted “strongly in Weiser’s favor” following a Feb. 22 virtual public forum featuring Weiser and his Democratic primary opponent, U.S. Sen. Michael Bennet. The endorsement also comes as Weiser continues to dominate the county caucus and Assembly nominating process ahead of the Colorado Democratic Party’s State Assembly on Saturday, March 28.

“I’m deeply honored that my campaign has earned the endorsement of Indivisible Colorado, a critical statewide grassroots coalition on the front lines fighting for Coloradans and our democratic republic,” Phil Weiser said. “As attorney general, I’ve always shown up, listened to, and partnered with community organizers and coalitions like Indivisible to protect Coloradans and fight back against the lawless, bullying Trump administration. As governor, I’ll continue to show up and fight for Coloradans each and every day.”

Indivisible Colorado highlighted several key policy proposals Weiser outlined during the coalition’s February forum in announcing the endorsement, including that Weiser:

  • Believes in TABOR reform so that we can pay for priorities like healthcare and education
  • Commits to fighting back against ICE and other bullies in the Trump administration to protect Coloradans, including no new detention centers in our state
  • Prioritizes free and fair elections, including no pardon for Tina Peters

Since the campaign’s launch, support for Weiser has surged, growing from 89 endorsements in March 2025 to more than 200 in less than a year. Today, Weiser has more endorsements from current and former state legislators, mayors, county commissioners, law enforcement officials, and council members than Bennet.
