Elitch Gardens Donates $600,00 to North High School

Denver’s Elitch Gardens Theme and Water Park recently announced a multi-year strategic partnership that will see Elitch Gardens provide approximately $600,000 in funding for needed capital projects at North High school in Denver and provide student access to employment and internship opportunity at Elitch Gardens to further their career prospects, according to Rhys Duggan, President and CEO of Revesco Properties, an owner and the managing member of Elitch Gardens

“Elitch Gardens and Denver North High School have both been important institutions in our community for more than a century,” Duggan said. “North is our Speer Boulevard neighbor, and we are committed to doing our part to support the school, its students and its educators in the years ahead.”

The announcement of the gift from the Denver-based real estate investment and management firm was made at the school this week by Duggan, Scott Wolf, North H.S. principal, and Councilman Rafael Espinoza of Denver City Council District 1, which includes North High and Elitch Gardens.

“All of us at North High – our educators, students and families – are excited to put this amazing donation to work to improve the landmark high school where we are privileged to teach and learn,” Wolf said.

“This is a powerful partnership between two Denver landmarks that have been such a part of the lives of young people in our city for decades,” said Councilman Espinoza.  “With such a generous investment from Elitch Gardens in the future of North High, we’re hopeful that improvements that have been talked about for years can move from the wish list to the ‘to do’ list.”
