Colorado residents can access no and low-cost therapy through the University of Colorado Denver’s (CU Denver) Student and Community Counseling Center, which is now accepting new clients for spring and summer.
Services are offered on a sliding fee scale, with free sessions for CU Denver students and reduced-cost options as low as $10 per session for the public. Sessions may be held in-person on the Auraria Campus or through secure online options. All are welcome.
The center is staffed by licensed psychologists, professional counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and advanced graduate-level practicum students. They can help youth, parents, couples, and families address issues like stress related to economic uncertainty, grief and loss, self-confidence, bullying, school behavior, and rapid societal change.
“Across Colorado, people are facing pressure from a variety of sources,” said Chélynn Randolph, clinical coordinator for the CU Denver Couple and Family Therapy program. “Our graduate students and staff are committed to providing compassionate, affordable support, whether in-person or online, to help people process what they’re experiencing, build resilience, and find healthy ways forward.”
Cost of services are free for CU Denver students, and as $10 per session for all other Colorado residents with a sliding fee scale. The fee may be as low as $10 per session for all other Colorado residents with a sliding fee scale. The clinic advises to call, as times vary for clinical hours. The center serves CU Denver students and the surrounding community. We are staffed by licensed psychologists, professional counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and advanced graduate-level practicum students. Licensed clinicians and faculty members supervise our students. Supervisors and psychotherapists are well-trained in working with a wide range of personal and interpersonal concerns. Services emphasize enriching the quality of life for those seeking treatment. Visit the website for more information: ucdenver.edu/counselingcenter.
