Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) recently opened their Summer 2025 Exhibition, Divine Rest Nests: An Invitation, and is on display through September 1. This immersive and liberatory exhibition offers the invitation to experience the powerful concept of rest as resistance and reclamation of imagination and dreams.
Through ethereal artist activations and installations, the viewer will be transported to sacred and healing rest nests where they can surrender, release, and restore from the cacophony of noise beyond the museum walls. Intentional community programming will anchor dreams and visions of what is alchemized through rest portals and support this
journey of restoration, love, and liberation. Guest curated by Cristina Aguilar.

Soraya Latiff, Cindy Loya, Sammiotzi, and Lares Feliciano.

Sacred Stillness: A Restorative Somatic Rest, Movement & Soundbath Experience, Thursday, July 17, 2025, 6-7:30pm, $15/$10 members/$5 students. Exhibiting artist Soraya Latiff and soundbowl practitioner Courtney Besser. An invitation to surrender to healing sound activations and a guided sacred rest experience cocooned by our Divine Rest Nests.
Movimiento: Moving Through a Healing Dance Experience, Thursday, July 31, 2025, 6-7:30pm, $15/$10 members/$5 students
ArtistiCo Dance. Visitors will be invited to share their personal rest stories and be led through co-creating a choreography that will unite shared experiences into a healing movement.
