The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA) is excited to announce the Summer 2026 Exhibition, Tres Voces, Un Corazón, opening May 21, 2026.

Tres Voces, Un Corazón brings together distinct practices by three members of one family

— Sylvia Montero, Tony Ortega, and their son, Cipriano Ortega. Celebrating both their collaborations and individual perspectives, the exhibition explores how identity, cultural memory, and artistic language are formed, challenged, and carried forward within a shared but evolving lineage.

Tony, Sylvia, and Cipriano work from studios on different floors of their shared home. While each maintains an independent approach, they remain deeply connected through their sense of purpose and commitment to community.

Tony and Sylvia’s lived experiences of the Chicano movement of the 1970s and 1980s shape much of their work and ground all three artists’ practices in investigations of culture and identity. More info here.
