Denver Botanic Gardens Celebrates Blossoms of Lights, Trail of Lights

The Denver Botanic Gardens’ Blossom of Light® celebrates 40 years of holiday magic in Denver, which opens on Friday, Nov. 21 and continues through Jan. 11, 2026.  A mile-long path meanders through immersive, luminous displays that accentuate and highlight the Gardens’ plant collections. Continuously evolving over the decades, Blossoms of Light inspires awe and delight in visitors of all ages.

 

Special features include a 200-foot-long light tunnel, choreographed light display in the UMB Amphitheater, glowing orbs in Monet Pool and projections on the Science Pyramid. Holiday treats and warm drinks are available for purchase at Offshoots Café and the Hive Garden Bistro.

In line with our core value of sustainability, the more than one million lights are LED. The Blossoms of Light is open Nov. 21 thru Jan. 11, 4:30pm-9pm, (closed Nov. 27 and Dec. 25). Tickets are $18-$33; Free for children 2 and under (no ticket required). Advance tickets are required and can be purchased at botanicgardens.org/events/special-events/blossoms-light.

 

The Gardens will also host Blossoms of Light® Birthday Bash
on December 3, 5-8 p.m. Tickets are $40-$55; Free for children 2 and under (no ticket required). Advance tickets required and can be purchased at botanicgardens.org/events/special-events/blossoms-light-birthday-bash.

 

Celebrate 40 years of Blossoms of Light® at a one-night-only celebration filled with special treats and the return of some classic features from over the years. Enjoy complimentary cupcakes, cookies, one drink ticket, professional keepsake photos and HoloSpex glasses. Additional themed cocktails, specialty food and hot roasted nuts will be available for purchase. Watch the carving of a 40th birthday ice sculpture, get access to the Waring House path with Santa projections and listen to carolers. To create a more intimate evening of holiday magic, capacity is reduced.
The DBG will feature Blossoms of Light® Sensory-Friendly Night

January 6, 5-8 p.m. Tickets are $18-$33; Free for children 2 and under (no ticket required). Advance tickets required and can be purchased at botanicgardens.org/events/special-events/blossoms-light-sensory-friendly-night. Experience Blossoms of Light® with a tailored, inclusive experience for guests with sensory sensitivities and their families. Light and sound are adjusted to subdue the highest sensory features. Capacity is reduced to create a more relaxed atmosphere. A sensory guide helps guests plan their visit by sharing the light, sound, movement and human interaction levels of the event’s main features.

Trail of Lights at Chatfield Farms

 

Chatfield Farms will open the Trail of Lights and features twinkling displays along a nearly one-mile-long path through the historic homestead and gardens located at the Chatfield Farms, 8500 W. Deer Creek Canyon Rd., Littleton, CO 80128.

 

New features include wildlife light sculptures and a refreshed holiday market in the new Welcome Center alongside returning favorite such as the singing Christmas tree and lights synchronized to music in the children’s play area. There is the option of an alternative path for those who want to take a shorter stroll. Hot beverages, nuts and kettle corn are available for purchase at the start of the trail, as well as fudge and caramel halfway through the trail in our warming hut. The Holiday Market is open Nov. 21 – Dec. 24.

The Chatfield Farm Parking lot opens at 4:50 p.m., last entry is 8:30 p.m., grounds cleared at 9:15 p.m. You must purchase a ticket online for a specific time and date to visit.
