Water World Hosts Fun Family Summer Events

Water World, Colorado’s first and largest water park is beginning their 46th season featuring a full lineup of fun family events.

 

Recently ranked as the #2 Outdoor Water Park in the country by USA Today, Water World will welcome nearly half-a-million visitors to create Summer’s best memories on 52 attractions across 70 beautifully landscaped acres.

 

If you’re looking for a summertime story that is sure to bring smiles, Water World is the place to be. Here is what’s happening this year:

 

Mermaid Mondays – Starts Monday, June 16
Take photos with mystical Mermaids every other Monday morning at Turtle Bay.

World’s Largest Swimming Lesson – Thursday, June 26
Water World is a host location for this global event, teaching 100+ kids in the one-million-gallon Thunder Bay wave pool.

Belly Flop Competition Sunday, June 29
A media favorite! Floppers compete for a grand prize of $1,000.

State Lifeguard Games Sunday, July 6
Lifeguards from across the state compete in games organized by the Colorado Parks & Recreation Association and hosted in Water World’s Thunder Bay.

Drone Show Saturday, July 26
The Drone Show returns with VIP viewing in Thunder Bay and free community spots in our expansive parking lot.

National Waterpark Day Monday, July 28
Coincides with our final Mermaid Monday for a fun story on Colorado’s favorite water park!

International Lifeguard Appreciation Day Thursday, July 31
Interview one of our 300 young lifeguards.

Closing Day  Monday, September 1
Water World is open 10am-5pm on Labor Day for a final chance to soak up the sun.

Bow Wow Beach Doggie Day – Saturday, September 6
Water World goes to the dogs! This post-season event benefits the Riverdale Animal Shelter.
